Working Principle & Production Flow
 

The whole line runs in a fixed sequence: the hydraulic decoiler releases the steel strip at 0.5m/s feeding speed, the 7-roll leveling unit flattens the wavy strip with 6 adjustable gaps, then the strip enters the 3-station servo punching unit, which punches 2 sets of connection holes at preset positions with hydraulic pressure 20MPa.

After punching, the strip passes through 22 forming stands sequentially, each stand completes 3-5 bending deformation, until the strip forms the final sigma section. The formed profile moves forward at 10-14m/min, when the length encoder detects the preset length, the flying shear cuts off the profile at running status, no stop action is needed during shearing.

The cut finished purlin slides to the unloading rack via a 1.2m inclined roller table.

Core Component Material & Wear Characteristics

 

All forming rollers are made of Cr12MoV die steel, after vacuum quenching the hardness reaches HRC 60-64, the surface is polished to Ra0.8, which avoids scratching the galvanized layer on the steel strip. The punching dies are made of SKD11 steel, the edge hardness is HRC 58-60, the service life of each set of punching dies is 80000-100000 holes under normal 3mm thick steel processing condition.

The hydraulic sealing rings are made of NBR material, working continuously under 20MPa pressure, the normal replacement cycle is 6 months. The main transmission gears are made of 20CrMnTi carburized steel, tooth surface hardness HRC 58-62, the meshing clearance is controlled at 0.15-0.2mm.

Installation, Maintenance & Failure Handling

 

Before installation, lay a 150mm-thick concrete foundation, reserve 16 anchor bolt holes with diameter 32mm, and level the main body of the line with a spirit level, the straightness error of the whole line shall not exceed 0.5mm in 10m length. Daily maintenance actions: inject No. 68 anti-wear hydraulic oil into the hydraulic station every 3 months, add lithium-based grease to each main shaft bearing every 15 days, and wipe the roller surface with cotton cloth before starting up every shift. Common failure modes: strip torsion during forming, which is usually caused by uneven gap of forming rollers; the solution is to adjust the gap of corresponding stands with a 0.02mm feeler gauge. If the punching burr exceeds 0.2mm, stop the line and grind the punching die edge with a surface grinder. This line can be connected to the existing purlin stacking system via a 2m transition roller table, no extra transformation of the original workshop layout is required.
